2011 Clinic & Schooling Show

The weekend of June 25/26 2011 is a date that will be remembered with a smile by the participants in the OPHA Clinic/Schooling Show. “A Good Time was had by all” is putting it mildly!

Latin Dance Fundraiser

The Millbrook Hall was full of excitement and fun on April 2, 2011, as well over a hundred members and guests kept the dance floor hopping to the beat of the lively Latin music.

Spring Ganaraska Trail and Wagon Ride

Our spring trail/wagon ride was held on Sunday May 16th, 2010 at the Ganaraska Forest and was a great success.  Right after the ride, we held a board meeting and continued to plan and share ideas for the rest of the 2010 season.

Fall Colours Ganaraska Trail Ride

Enjoying our Peruvian horses in Ontario

Having enjoyed the show and the summer months, the members of the OPHA could not end the year without a chance to enjoy the glorious fall colours Ontario is renowned for.  So, on October 4th members and friends got together with their mounts for a fall colours trail ride through the stunning Ganaraska Forest.  Comprising of 10,000 acres of lovely reforested conservation area, with good sandy footing and well-marked trails, the Ganaraska Forest is a horse lover’s paradise. 

In order to share the forest experience with those that did not ride, or had no mount, the horses and riders were escorted by Penny and Clyde, a team of Belgian horses provided by Beaconhurst Stable ....

- A Peruvian Paso and Paso Fino Unpointed Learning Show and Clinic -

The event consisted of a short clinic/seminar, followed by some
Paso Fino classes, Peruvian Paso classes and some combined classes
presided over by certified judge, Karen Cabic.
